SEDOL Masterfile Service - Revised go-live date
The launch of the
enhanced SEDOL Masterfile Service, including the introduction of
alphanumeric SEDOL codes, has been changed from the 26 January 2004. The
revised go-live date, which will be issued on Friday 23 January 2004, will
not be significantly later than planned.
The Exchange has taken
the precaution of changing the launch date following a very high level of
demand for access to the new SEDOL Masterfile website. In the meantime,
additional testing will be carried out to ensure a seamless transition to
the new service, which is important to the smooth running of the market.
Some customers have
expressed concerns with their readiness for the enhancements by 26 January.
Therefore, rescheduling the live date will also allow our customers further
time to prepare for the change.
The Exchange will have
sufficient numeric codes to continue issuing SEDOL codes up to the revised
live date and the existing service will continue to operate until the
migration to the new SEDOL Masterfile service. Your existing data suppliers
will continue to receive the current SMF service as they do today.
Please note customers that
have already signed their licence will not be invoiced until the service
goes live and those customers that have not yet signed a licence will be
required to do so by the revised live date.
