Update on developments affecting both MDDL and reference data including enhancements to the MDDL specification (query, service and message), demonstration on XML streaming compression, presentation on the new MDDL Developer Toolkit, status of MDDL activities relating to corporate actions and other initiatives related to the enhancement of MDDL. In addition, we’ll provide an overview of reference data activities including the latest on unique instrument identification, business entity and legal hierarchy identification (ISO Working Group 8) and the relationship between MDDL, 15022 and efforts to standardize market data vocabulary (ISO Working Group 11).

General status of and next steps associated with all active FISD initiatives (MDDL, billing and reporting, standards and reference data) as well as an update on the FISD operational plan (including meeting schedules and events) and the results from the WFIC. During the General meeting FISD will be conducting two interactive roundtable discussions. The first will be on instrument identification (particularly the links between front-office symbology and back-office numbering schemes) including participants from the London Stock Exchange, S&P CUSIP Service Bureau, State Street Global Advisors, Deutsche Bank, Reuters and Tee Williams Associates. The second will be on data usage and redistribution including participants from Morgan Stanley, Thomson Financial, Rights Management Associates and the New York Board of Trade.

2:30 pm - 4:30 pm  Billing/Administration Working Group
Update on the progress made to implement VRXML as a common billing and reporting format as well as its relationship to the overall strategy to improve the efficiency of market data administration. Emphasis will be on the issues related to billing and reporting formats, the challenges of data set consistency, electronic invoicing, and market data business rules.
