The Next Generation Protocal: FisdMessage

The fisdMessage specification defines an on-wire protocol for exchanging XML encoded market data efficiently and flexibly. FISD has pursued a prototype to show its viability and as a method of anayzing the bandwidth and processing requirements required. This presentation will include a live demonstration of the "next generation datafeed" and will discuss the immediate future of this emerging standard.

Global Data Management Survey 2004

The results of the survey, based on interviews with 1.700+ banks in 63 countries, show that financial institutions make considerable efforts to deepen their risk management and their reference data management. Besides cost pressures and increased transaction volumes, the reasons for that are regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley and Basel II, which will be implemented in more than 100 countries within the next years.More info can be found at: www.dmstudy.info
